@FixingEducation I'm in upstate NY and am increasingly unsatisfied. I used to tolerate the far left ideology of NYSUT because my local was decent. Now my local negotiates mediocre contracts at best and is led by self serving individuals as far as I'm concerned.
@abbottnation@vast_differ3nce@travisakers Just because it's considered a "serious attendance problem" doesn't mean that districts hold students accountable. I teach in NYS and can confirm the scenario described happens way too often.
Screw this warm weather and longer days. 😤 I can't stop day dreaming about all the sweet ski trips I'm going to take with my kiddo with our #indypass in the '26/27 season. ⛷️🥽

@john_zwiers@stoodle I've used the "Test Correction" option in Delta Math for my teacher-made tests so that students have to truly practice and understand the things they got wrong in the test.
Kudos to the young man, Brian, working solo at @cumberlandfarms shop #1159 in Latham. There was an issue with the register causing a large line to back up but he kept his cool and remained pleasant with his customers.
Think the @FedEx driver is confused about a "gated driveway", because that looks like a package illegally placed in my mailbox. As a result, my mail carrier picked it up with our outgoing mail and now my $100 order of dog medicine is MIA. So frustrating!
I spent the last week complaining about how exhausted and burned out I was, only to turn around and go into school on Tuesday during break telling myself lies like "I'm going to get ahead so I'm not so stressed next week." Any other teachers like this? #teacherproblems
