Deeply saddened by the demise of legendary Urdu poet Bashir Badr, whose words became a part of everyday life, love, longing, and remembrance. His passing marks the end of an era in Urdu literature. He passed away in Bhopal at the age of 91 after a prolonged illness.
"Koi haath bhi na milayega jo gale miloge tapak se,
Yeh naye mizaaj ka shehar hai zara faasle se mila karo..."
"Ujale apni yaadon ke hamare saath rehne do,
Na jaane kis gali mein zindagi ki shaam ho jaye..."
"Ab hum milenge toh kayi log bichhad jayenge,
Intezar aur karo agle janam tak mera..."
His timeless shayari will continue to live in the hearts of millions, transcending generations and borders. May Allah grant him the highest place in Jannat and give strength to his family, admirers, and the entire literary community.

I strongly condemn the heinous incident of rape and murder 12 year old girl in Budgam. The Government should punish the culprits with severe penalties in a time-bound manner so that justice is served without any delay. #budgamincident#jammuandkashmirpolice#safetyofgirls

The CAPEX Plan must be prepared in a transparent and participatory manner with proper public consultation. Pre-identification of works by some MLAs without involving the public and local stakeholders is not acceptable.
The Gram Sabha convened today for formulation of the CAPEX Plan 2026–27 appears to have defeated the very spirit of democratic participation and decentralised planning. Such an exercise cannot be reduced to a mere formality.
I strongly demand that the proceedings of today’s Gram Sabha be cancelled and fresh Gram Sabhas be conducted in a fair, transparent and inclusive manner so that genuine public aspirations and developmental priorities are reflected in the plan.@OfficeOfLGJandK@Abhi1shrma@dmrajouri@diprjk
On way to Murtha, I got an opportunity to interact with the young children of Primary School Mohra Kha. The school has an enrolment of 84 students with only 2 teachers. The children are highly talented and enthusiastic, but unfortunately the school building has been declared unsafe after being damaged, forcing the students to study in a rented shop under difficult conditions.
I urge the JK Government and the District Administration Rajouri to immediately provide proper infrastructure and a safe school building for these children so that their education does not suffer.
It is painful to see that those making tall claims about the education sector are nowhere visible on the ground where such issues demand urgent attenti
