@TonyRoos I am so disappointed! Ugh.

Look! It’s Maggie and me with John Green!!! 🥳 @johngreen was delightful (in spite of Covid!!) in the Sharon Says So book club discussion tonight! Thanks for being with us! Read The Anthropocene Reviewed if you haven’t already!

@TheMickyDolenz1 was phenomenal in Cincinnati! It was another magical Monkee night! I laughed; I cried—I sang along and got up and danced! Micky’s voice remains one of the best in the business! Get your tickets while you can! Drove 9 hours to see the show! Worth it and more!! 💕

I hope we all know that women generally wish we could just do the thing we love doing without having to spend so much time thinking and talking about misogyny. It’s not enjoyable, no one is having fun doing this, this is not what any of us signed up for.

It’s absolutely wild that people who grew up hearing Bible stories every week would ever be resistant to the idea that powerful people often abuse others, and that men often abuse, manipulate, and mistreat women. Utterly wild.

When we say “copy-paste from the anti-vaccine playbook” we mean exactly that. The lack of originality is incredible. Insert claims of infertility, AIDS (🤦🏽‍♀️) cancer, etc —or scary catch phrase for that matter—and it’s been used before to incite panic & confusion among parents.

@IPSY I have been receiving a monthly subscription for a former resident of my house for 7+ months. I have tried to contact you & returned to sender. The packages continue to arrive. Can you please stop these shipments?

[Kaitlyn Schiess @KaitlynSchiess]

I need y’all to know that the degree to which these men on the internet obsess over Beth Moore is the degree to which some men in all kinds of churches obsess over any woman in their church with gifts she refuses to hide and a mind she continues to use.

@KaitlynSchiess I love this clip so much! Saw it the first time. Thanks for the reminder!

.@GovStitt Oklahoma cannot execute an innocent man. Please save Julius Jones’ life and take the recommendation of your Pardon and Parole Board and commute his sentence to life with the possibility of parole. #JusticeforJulius

These stories break my heart. Get vaccinated! For yourself and everyone around you.

This entire thread!! A million times yes!!! Thank you @SkyeJethani for voicing this important position!

[Carrie Ann Dressler @HeyCarri3eAnn]

@jen_j_s @taylorswift13 Yes!!! Was just blasting this one in the car!!

Why does “faith over fear” apply to wearing masks and not getting the vaccine?

Because it’s not about faith, it’s about political idolatry informing even medical choices.

Our anemic discipleship that avoided the political elephant in the room for decades has consequences.

[Kaitlyn Schiess @KaitlynSchiess]

The idea that America has been systematically racist is an idea entirely compatible with Scripture’s depiction of sin and human communities.

But it is entirely incompatible with the story America tells of itself.

And a lot of Christians have believed America instead.

@lufthansa That is what I did do. They gave me other possible dates, but I have to work with our travel agent. Though when @lufthansa cancels they rebook without consultation. Now they can’t help me rebook. Very frustrating.

[Carrie Ann Dressler @HeyCarri3eAnn]

Scheduled my family’s flight w/ @lufthansa in March including our 2 pets with our booking. They cancelled 2 of our flights & rebooked. In my attempt to get back on our original travel day, the pets were dropped. Now there is no space for them. Lufthansa is not being very helpful.

"Jesus tried to change people by loving and healing them. His harshest words of judgment were reserved for those who perpetuated systems of inequality and oppression and who, through religion itself, thought they were sinless and untouchable."

~ Richard Rohr

[Shane Claiborne @ShaneClaiborne]

Jesus carried a cross not a gun.
Jesus said when we welcome the stranger we welcome him.
Jesus blessed the poor, not the rich.
Jesus interrupted an execution & said, “Blessed are the merciful for they’ll be shown mercy.”
Jesus loved his enemies so much he died for them.

Jesus.

Imagine quibbling over theories you have no expertise in and proclaiming the spiritual dangers of “social justice” instead of repenting and turning and joining the God of the exodus in bringing to ruin every last layer of the white supremacist stronghold in the American church.
