Hello 3 followers, I took a little break from tweeting about music but I think I'm going to start again because music is still cool and I still have thoughts about it.
I saw Blink182 at a few festivals in 2019 so I didn't realize they weren't together because that wasn't that long ago and I guess I'm supremely out of the loop.
After seeing 2 shows at Radio City this weekend I've come to admit that I don't love seeing live music there. The acoustics are incredible but it makes you feel so separate from the band. More like a Broadway show than a concert.
I just want everyone to know that after being full on obsessed with Glass Animals throughout the pandemic, I went and saw them 4 times in 12 months and now I feel sated on Glass Animals thank you. It's been a journey.
I hate taking videos at shows for more than a few seconds at a time because it takes me out of the moment but I loved last night so much I wanted to preserve it forever. Here's a (big!) snippet of Loyal.
@SpikeRightMusic Goose was incredible. It was relatively empty at their stage because they were on at the same time as Weezer and then Metallica but from the moment I walked over there it was just a crowd of people having this wild dance party it was amazing.
Boston Calling yesterday was so much fun and also the worst sound I've ever heard at a festival. It was so quiet that it was awkward. So many performances were like background music.
I saw: Cults, Japanese Breakfast, Modest Mouse, Glass Animals, Weezer, Goose, Metallica. From the moment I arrived I had 0 breaks in the music schedule of what I wanted to see.
