Yesterday FFA students from @heyworthffa helped plant their test plot. The soil temperature was 70.7° 2 inches deep. A huge thanks to Olsen Farms for volunteering their time so students learn more about and gain hands on experiences farming. #plant18

Conclusion: even during the major part of the partial solar eclipse there was no significant change in soil temperature #Eclipse #experiment

Nearing the total eclipse in Illinois, I don't have a solar probe in the path of totality but the temperature as still dropped to 76.1°F
