8 years ago today the universe shoved me off a cliff and HeyGiud was born. It's been the most amazing, challenging, mindblowing, fun, intense, wild, crazy adventure of my life. The ride has been anything but easy, but the great things in life rarely are.

Did you know that June is National Adopt a Cat Month? George and Gracie are both rescues and despite having been adopted years apart from each other they share the same Gotcha Day. They are the perfect co-workers, one of them is usually in a sunny spot somewhere in my office.

Happy National Doughnut Day! 🍩 Let's face it though, every day can be doughnut day if you have a doughnut. Where is your favorite place in the Des Moines area to get doughnuts? My absolute favorite is Donut Hut on Douglas. My favorite gas station doughnut is hands down Casey's.

Sometimes taking a break and resting is the most productive thing you can do. I know I need to do it more often. Recharging is important.

When is the last time you took time off to do absolutely nothing?

Also, my therapist told me I had to take a day off before my next appointment, which is Monday. Clearly, I'm getting this in at the last minute.

@realBrookNash I say lack of flexibility because we all proved it was possible and disabled people have been asking for accommodations like working from home for ages and told no then suddenly it worked and now it doesn't again. Like WTF?

I have really loved @SparkMailApp for the last several years but the new version gets a big giant NOPE from me. They are fixing a lot of the big misses (no dark mode, no ability to keep your folders open) but the biggest miss for someone in marketing - I can't choose my own font.
