#ITIf22#communication When communicating with families, it’s important to keep consistent contact and include positivity throughout the contact (especially the very first contact)! This helps establish a good relationship between parent and teacher.
@LWMEdProf#ITIf22 I’ve found Class Dojo is a great way to communicate with parents. They can send messages and see what’s going on in the class. I’d say the only “be careful” I have is to make sure all parents are connected to ensure they get the messages. #communication
After learning about digital citizenship, one of the 9 elements of digital citizenship that sticks out to me is digital health & wellness. I feel like we are so stuck on technology at work and home that it’s important to take breaks to help our overall well-being #ITIf22#DigCit
So happy that I got to attend #IDEAcon with Kappa Delta Pi today. Truly an experience I’ll never forget with so many important messages and ideas I’ll carry with me into my career!
In my assessment class, we’ve been focusing on the big question “So what?” How will the material we’re teaching affect our students?Everything we teach should not only have a purpose, but inspire our students and help them find their voice. #TTLs22
We were actually just talking about this in one of my other classes. Students thrive off of these classes and it helps them feel included and like they are excelling at something. Removing doesn’t do any good for students or the district. #TTLs22
Districts or schools that remove students from physical education, music, Arts, or other classes to remediate them in other areas, have no idea of the immediate and long term damage they are doing to these students. This often makes them feel more defeated and hate school.
I’ve seen many classrooms where emojis play a big part in keeping things bright and colorful! This is a great list of ways to incorporate them into your classroom! #TTLs22
I definitely plan on using some of these games in my future classroom! It’s very important that my students can work together effectively to ensure for a great school year!
The following team-building games can promote cooperation and communication, help establish a positive classroom environment and — most importantly — provide a fun, much-needed reprieve from routine.
