i personally prefer the older ssntails’ sprites and general vibe the game had from 2.0-2.1 had compared to how they look now
there’s something just really damn cute and recognizable about how these guys looked back then
vanilla srb2 is the best version of the game and the fact that so many people play with mods that slap unnecessary physics on the game and call it better is ridiculous
srb2 is not a classic sonic game nor does it play/feel like one and anyone that tells you that its movement needs to be "fixed" or "improved upon" doesnt understand srb2's movement at its core which frankly, i cant blame them for
im just gonna say what's been on my mind for so long now and its that i NEED to see archivist as a shopkeeper in outcome memories it would be so peak trust
"Memorable Accomplishment" (2/?)
[I haven't drawn Cream the Rabbit in exactly 14 years. I'd forgotten she is BY FAR the easiest Sonic character to draw.]

Ring Racers doesn't need to be simplified or have a better tutorial
it needs people that are willing to commit to the learning process, stop looking at it like it's Sonic Kart and more like the kart racer version of a fighting game
it's deep and complicated by design, accept it
ngl i dont get people complaining about silksong being too hard, at most i spent like 20ish minutes on bosses/encounters and that's with a lv1 nail that i neglected to upgrade until a long while after reaching the citadel
definitely a step up from hk but its not that bad
@LuckiiTucky oh yeah that's fine, most of these points come up after playing online for a while, as well as interacting with people who take the game alot more seriously than they really should
ring racers could've been one of the greatest kart racers ever made but it's held back by the most genuinely baffling balance and design choices i have ever seen, here are some of them:
@LuckiiTucky tl:dr ring racers isnt a new game, it is srb2kart v2 (it's even referred as v2 on the titlescreen iirc) which had years of insight and experimentation done to figure out what works and yet ended up making a game that has divided the community to such an absurd degree
so if people who dont like this game are told "skill issue" what are you telling me if i said that i won 2 tournaments back to back of this game against people who have played this game for years longer then i have and that i fucking despise this game
