I haven’t posted in a year, so you can tell how awful this is. I’m trying to watch the @Reds on @FDSportsbook but the commercials are like 9 times louder than the game. Can we fix this? The strategy of irritating me into spending money on products is not a good one.

The competition floors are lower to the ground at VEX than BEST. I preferred the elevated floor. Had a nice WWF vibe. Always small part of me hoped the Ultimate Warrior (RIP) may come barging out.

ROBOTICS COMPETITION THREAD #2- this is just a “practice” competition. Allen Iverson would not be happy.

The theme is “Hero” so lots of kids dressed as Spider-Man, Wonder Woman, and Batman. Have yet to see an Aqua-Man. Maybe if the competition was held in a lake, he’d get more run.

These robot competitions love starting before the sun is up. Robots can still work at 10 AM, guys; it doesn’t have to start at 7. My coffee hasn’t kicked in yet.

It’s also my wife’s birthday. Some folks go on lavish trips to Italy for birthdays; we visit middle school cafeterias to watch kids bang robots into each other.
