@Christ_like_ish@Kadael@ElleBeeG@TheJoeySwoll@Taste_FlavorCo No one is arguing that that there aren't people who exist who label themselves trans. But I guess you figure it's easier arguing against a claim that no one is making than the ones they actually are.
@Exodus_243@authenticWMN I'm not saying they weren't. I'm saying there's a difference between HRT and CSHT. Activists only call it HRT to mislead people and pretend it's medically necessary or that it's healthcare - it's neither.
@Exodus_243@authenticWMN Using it for CSHT came later, and pretending the meanings are interchangeable is exactly how activists blur definitions to make something cosmetic sound medical.
@Exodus_243@authenticWMN It was never called HRT when used to mimic the opposite sex's hormones. The term HRT was coined for replacing missing hormones in people whose bodies no longer produced them.
@Exodus_243@authenticWMN Length of use doesn't make the terminology correct. What trans activists call HRT is, by definition, CSHT. Calling it HRT is a deliberate misuse meant to make it sound like normal medical care rather than the imitation of opposite sex traits.
