According to ISPR, Major General Mohammed Bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, Secretary General of the Islamic Military Counter Terr-orism Coalition (IMCTC), met Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Force, at GHQ Rawalpindi.

The meeting focused on matters of mutual interest, regional security dynamics, and enhanced cooperation in counter-terrorism efforts.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to combating terrorism and extremism through joint strategies, intelligence sharing, and capacity building.

Field Marshal Asim Munir appreciated IMCTC’s role in promoting coordinated counter-terr-orism initiatives, while Maj Gen Al-Moghedi acknowledged Pakistan’s sacrifices and praised the professionalism of its armed forces.

The meeting highlighted the resolve to further strengthen institutional collaboration for regional peace and security.

The IMCTC delegation is visiting Pakistan from 2–6 February 2026 to conduct a week-long training program at NUST on the re-integration and rehabilitation of extremist elements.

The Chief Minister of Balochistan stated that security forces have elimin-ated 145 terr-orists during recent counter terr-orism operations across the province, while 17 brave security personnel embraced mart-yrdom in the line of duty.

Paying tribute to the fallen heroes, the CM said their sacrifices will never be forgotten and reaffirmed the government’s resolve to continue decisive action against terr-orism to ensure lasting peace and stability in Balochistan and across Pakistan 🇵🇰.
