If you want the highs of Philly sports, you gotta be willing to get dragged through the lows. Thatโs the deal. There is no casual setting here. The Phillies lose today, we swear weโre done with them forever, and tomorrow weโre back in the same seat yelling at the TV like our input is legally required.
Our Eagles coach will insult you on national television and not even think twice about it. Thatโs about as Philly as it gets. LeBron might be entering Year 24, which is absolutely ridiculous, but if heโs wearing PHILA across his chest, welcome to the family. Weโll complain about him too. Thatโs how you know youโve been accepted.
We love hard. We boo hard. We overreact. We forgive. We come back tomorrow. Because underneath all the insanity, the anger, the memes and the annual threat to โnever watch this team againโ is a city that genuinely gives a damn.
Players feel it. Coaches feel it. Fans live it.
No city does passion quite like Philadelphia.
The highs wouldn't mean nearly as much without surviving the lows together. Philly forever.
