The more I play with code, more I realize that there was a reason Design and Implementation was kept separate.

There's a reason Architects and Civil engineers exist separately.

Implementation mindset curbs creativity if it becomes the dominant trait.
Not saying that it'll definitely become dominant. Some people can balance it out. But IMO, most can't.

Had multiple conversations about this recently with seniors at various companies and they’re losing designers to engineering in droves. Everyone wants to build and ship.

They’re now desperately trying to find big picture thinking designers again because those are now insanely rare and valuable.
