I long ago unfollowed the problematic dude mentioned in Rodney's amazing take down for the exact reasons Rodney mentioned. Follow/Unfollow. I'm very rarely on Twitter anymore having left for azure skies. If you need an invite, and we're friends, let me know. Also, watch this.
This is your updated PSA on David Leavitt, his latest nonsense, and how you can avoid falling for it. Yes, he recently made a bunch of reckless claims about me, but I'm fine. Perhaps we can help make sure others don't fall for it.
While all that's going on, they're asking me to back their Kickstarter. Fully understand this is just bad timing and stuff, but it does feel a bit like customer orders are taking a back seat to the campaign. Anyone have any other playmat companies they like?
@InkedGaming is trolling me. Placed an order 10 days ago. Afterward, they send an email saying things are backlogged. That should be on their website. Now I get an email asking me to share pics of my loot. I realize it's automated, but maybe tie that to the shipping notice.
@Nerfenstein@DustyCraine I'm there more for personal connection than marketing, though most of the posts I enjoy are folks sharing the things they did/played/made so I don't necessarily care how far my posts go, but I understand how important that is for people who are using it to grow/serve an audience.
@stuffByBez I think just being forthcoming with that is enough. I think the problem arises when you don’t disclose the relationship and heap praise on a title that isn’t deserving.
@storyenginedeck I signed up on your website for the free sample PDF to see if this is something that would work for me, and it's been ~hour. Is there a direct link somewhere I could check? I'd like to see the example while the early bird on Lore Master's Deck is still there. TY
@AshleyEsqueda Literally the only thing I've read that dampens my excitement for this. How, in the year of 2023, are we still releasing games without this absolutly critical feature? It's nonsense. Let's us pet all the animals, Nintendo. WTF
@GIVEPAUSEhobby Even knowing I'll have a good time, the idea of Gen Con fills me with dread. Every single time I'm glad I pushed past that part of me that said 'nah'. Oh, and I've had awkward encounters. They were still highlights. One actually turned into a job. I'm eager to hear your story.
@GIVEPAUSEhobby @VanRyderGames Knowing that you 'should' enjoy it, is the jumping off point. Do it. Find out if it's as good as you hope, or as bad as you fear. You're an adult, you can literally pivot and make it a vacation in a new town and avoid the Con, but odds are you'll enjoy it and be glad you did.
