And no most people will draw a freehand line and it'll curve or slant at the bottom. Most people need a ruler to find the center of a line. Most need a triangle to get a right angle.

Style should come towards the end.

For the learning artist, focus not on developing your style for it is the fruit of fundamental mastery.

Drawing ability is a cumulative skill with stages that lead to more complex skill levels.

@TwinTailTwist You could also sit at a coffee joint and draw people there. Better than scrolling. Plus drawing from life trains your eye better than copying a static image.

Why cant the same be said for a chef or a mechanic? Are they scammers too? U learn and master a skill to hopefully live off of it.
Its the basis of any career. You learn a thing, apply your learning and earn a living.

@DumbZilla_Robo Drawing is cumulative. If you cant draw straight lines with a small to no margin of error without a ruler your shapes will check out. If you cant tell a straight line from a slanted one how can you construct right angles by sight to make perfect squares?

@KarstenBeoulve Also do crossbar training so you can find the center of any line and learn to recognize right angles so you can draw perfect flat squares without a ruler facing any direction.
