Not accurate. Sen Cayetano is no longer SP. With 12 senators present, a quorum was declared out of the base number of 22 since Sens de la Rosa and Estrada are outside the “coercive power” of the Senate (Avelino v Cuenco. GR No 2821).
Hence, we voted to declare all positions vacant, although we could not yet elect a new SP because we lacked the 13 votes required under the Constitution.

Hosting Miss Universe Philippines 2026 has been one of the greatest milestones of my career and my life.

And while I understand that there will be different opinions and some resistance to it, I did not expect the vile & alarming amount of transphobia, hate and even death threats thrown at me. Moreso, the hate and harassment being thrown to my sister, Angel.

This is not what I stand for.
This NEEDS TO STOP.

Sa lahat ng trabaho at success na pinaghirapan natin, dala dala ko ang pag asa na iaangat nito ang pagtanggap sa LGBTQIA+. While I was admittedly hurt by her statements, I do not condone any hurtful and hateful words thrown at her because of it. Huwag itong gamiting excuse para manira ng kapwa. It just sets us back and everything we’ve worked so hard for just loses its meaning.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions. What you are not entitled to is disrespect. While I may not be able to change everyone’s opinion, I would like to call on everyone who believes in me. I am truly grateful for all the outpour of love and support. I ask that you only spread love, grace and kindness to the people around you.

Angel and I were able to resolve things privately. Let’s give her space and understanding.

My coworker asked me to be his plus-one to his cousin’s wedding because his entire family kept asking why he was “still single.”

I said yes for the free food and open bar.

On the drive there, we joked about our backstory.
“How did we meet?”
“Library. We both reached for the same book.”
“Disgusting. I love it.”

But the moment we walked in, his hand found the small of my back like it had always belonged there.

He introduced me like he was proud. Not performative. Not rushed. Just… sure.

During the slow songs, he leaned down and whispered, “You okay?” like it actually mattered.
And when his aunt asked how long we’d been together, he looked at me before answering.

“We’re taking our time,” he said.

Later that night, after he dropped me off, neither of us moved to get out of the car. The air felt heavier than it should’ve.

He laughed softly and said, “This is the part where we remember it’s fake.”

I nodded.

Neither of us reached for the door.

The next weekend he texted:
“Family barbecue. They’re expecting you.”

And somehow, somewhere between pretending and protecting each other’s feelings, we forgot to stop acting.
