Alright, I just wish gov ministers could be honest and not spread lies and misinformation. Asylum seekers can seek protection/asylum anywhere they like. This arguments that refugees should stay in first safe country is illegal & doesn’t make sense. The international protection/refugee convention wouldn’t work if that was the case. Having said that 85% of world refugees are hosted by neighbouring/developing countries. 🇩🇪 takes 6/7 times more asylum applications, 🇫🇷 over 3 X. Why is the U.K 🇬🇧 avoiding its legal & moral obligation. The idea everyone should take refugees expect us. No matter what hostile, cruel, & inhuman laws we have refugees will arrive, the gov will put them in prison, detained & deport them somehow - somewhere. It wouldn’t work but will put people in limbo. Completely unnecessary, unlawful and dangerous.
