The Hiamo team joins the country on this ANZAC day in honouring all of those who have served and given their lives for New Zealand.
May we continue to share their stories, keep them alive in our hearts, and bring our thoughts back to their sacrifices.
During our tour for Wellington Heritage Week we displayed and discussed some stories from the Wellington waterfront. We used augmented reality to share the story of the Wahine disaster and more.
Thank you for joining us, we look forward to sharing more stories with you!

At the Wrights Hill Open Day, we previewed an object that was never used at the Wrights Hill Fortress; a 100-year-old 4-inch naval gun.
Learn more about their fascinating history in the first of our Heritage Highlight blog posts!

Augmented reality technology can place enormous historic objects back at full size, something which is often impractical to pull off with replicas.
Here is an example of a Wrights Hill Fortress gun returned to its old home; a sight which hasn't been seen in almost 60 years!
Another demo day at the #WrightsHillFortress complete! We showed site visitors long-lost historic objects while providing extra information through #AR displays.
We also had a sneak peek of another historic gun model that we have been working on, more on that soon!
Hiamo will be at Wrights Hill Fortress for this Queen's Birthday on Monday!
Find us at the fortress down in Cartridge Store No.1 to see an augmented reality display and learning experience about the impressive artillery Wrights Hill was built around.

Our team had a great time at Glow in the Park in Martinborough! We used AR to show planets in our solar system, providing a new interactive learning experience in a similar fashion to our heritage work.
Thank you to Under the Stars : Wairarapa Astronomy for inviting us along!
We can show you the world(s)! Hiamo will be displaying the solar system in augmented reality tonight to help raise money for the new Martinborough water park.
Join us from 5pm at the Waihinga Centre for a great family night learning about the stars!

New Zealand Archaeology Week has just passed and we went to many great events! A tour of the Te Aro pā site, a trip to Matiu / Somes Island, and some WW2 equipment were all involved.
Thank you to @Wharewaka_Tours @nzarchaeology and @heritagenz for these fantastic opportunities.
Spent ANZAC day at the Wrights Hill Fortress showing history to visitors! Using AR to display the WW2 guns + adding interaction.
Thanks to the WHFRS, our helpers, and everyone who visited; we hope you enjoyed the demo!
