This is my theater in Michigan. We’re actually showing Jurassic World Dominion, but we thought the other dinosaurs were more frightening and deserved their own marquee.
#Tunisia abolished slavery in 1846, codified women's rights in 1956, sheltered members of the Palestinian liberation organisation and was bombed trying, contributed in multiple diplomatic mediations
Freedom of expression is on that list by the way, enjoy it wisely.
#Tunisia was the first Muslim country to publicly discourage its citizens from fasting Ramadan.
Tunisia was the first Muslim country to ban the hijab.
Tunisia looks set to be the first Muslim country to have Islam removed from its constitution.
On the day that the illegal President of #Tunisia announced that #Islam will no longer be the religion of the state, we celebrate as Muslims the presence of leaders such as @ImranKhanPTI, a brave defender of Islam & #Muslims worldwide.
My God bless him and #Pakistan.
Democracy is an ever evolving matrix and only a totalitarian regime would not make efforts to address concerns. The state of Exception is not a #Tunisian normative creation, and is meant to restore institutional stability, well 'asap'. @Europarl_EN#Tunisia

@FRANCE24 Why does the video mention hundreds of protesters in #Tunisia while the title clearly clickbaits to thousands? Another thing, camera angles matter!a bird eye view can change the narrative! Flashbacks inauguration day in Trump's eye

Parliament's legitimacy derives from its role as a representative body. Once it fails and becomes a mockery, authority is no longer delegated. But when you bind Parliament and private interest, you can't let go can you?

The one thing that tanishes the prestige and honour of parliament is the workings and indecency of political parties personified in political figures. Tunisians went on a quest to fight for the right to be represented in 1938 and would do so whenever deemed necessary.
#Tunisia
Another question that falls within this narrative: does she represent the Tunisian women? I can already hear what the 'court of public opinion' with its unearthly and unified conditions on being a women, scream.
Gender doesn't define competence, but the narrative.

Maybe you forgot that key word which translates in them losing their normative powers! I will not go as saying that this coverage is total bs.
#Tunisie#kaissaied
The only clock I see ticking concerns corrupt actors and sketchy funds. The work of the Saïd administration is highly ambitious and understandingly needs time. The anger with which frozen MPs were met yesterday sets the tone for whom the clock ticks.

#TnPR
For the ones saying that this appointment is just a medium to win people over, you are the reason why we never had women in true leadership and you are diminishing her. In a world where women have to prove themselves, let her. and let us focus what she'll do.

#TnPR
Nothing like a propaganda tweet, referring to what happened on the 25th as propaganda. Those that you so call mobs are the people, but you missed that memo and they took it upon themselves to deter the real mobsters from power that doesn't side with voter will.#Tunisia#قيس_سعيد
Kais Saied is walking in Ben Ali's footsteps. Sends tanks to block entry to parliament, arrests bloggers & MPs, surrounds himself with mobs chanting "Long Live Saied!", broadcasts propaganda songs on national TV spreading hate.. then tells us "I'm not a dictator!" #TunisiaCoup
Seems like #Tunisia -the heart of the Arab Spring- should beat a certain way to please, Seems like you are stuck with the archaic idea that no change in the MENA region could spring from people's free will, Seems like you don't believe in our democracy at all.
#tunisia_is_safe
If we believe in democracy and human rights, we should be loudly decrying the current assault on democracy in Tunisia—the heart of the Arab Spring.
If Tunisia’s president does not reverse course, we should suspend all security aid, as is required by law.
@arcticturk17@MiddleEastEye I don't agree with the term 'again'. Parliament made a mockery out of it's role as representative body, some political parties continouesly blocked it's workings. Progress is not linear, sometimes we need to deconstruct and create checks and balances when institutions fail.
@Faiyla I guess the middle ground is to call out any threats to rights and liberties in the state of exception + not allow anti-Nahdha sentiments to glorify poli-tricksters. Skepticism, hope and resilience. I think we went from drowning to surfing but there are waves ahead.
