NEW: Vermont State Police trooper heroically saves an 8-year old girl from a freezing cold pond after she fell through the ice.

HERO!

Vermont State trooper Michelle Archer was seen on footage plunging into the freezing pond to rescue the child.

The girl’s 6-year old sibling was also rescued by a nearby homeowner.

Thanks to Archer’s heroic actions, the girl was able to make a full recovery and has returned home.

@MassDCR I use Salisbury reservation and Mystic Valley Parkway by the lakes a lot. Why are there no speed limit signs on those roads? Cars are flying down those roads.
