@enjojoyy But it is not free.
Someone is paying for it.
I would rather pay for myself than require other people who have no say in the matter to pay for my education.
I don’t believe in stealing for my own benefit.
We lived in Alaska for 11 years.
That is God’s country up there.
I roll my eyes and laugh when people here in VA call the hills by us mountains.
In Alaska you will see the mountains, look up and see clouds. Then you will look above the clouds and see mountains. You will look at the clouds above that and see the peaks of the mountains looking down on you in impossible heights.
It is breath taking.
Today is my 46th birthday.
I want you to flash imagine
laying in warm fragrant grass watching clouds
splashing water in a cheap plastic pool
drinking a glorious Americano in a garden
sampling a charcuterie board
listening to my husband’s voice
dreaming about our future
enjoying my kids playing
watching the room get darker while a room fan blows smooth air
for my birthday?
We didn’t do anything
and it was glorious.
I have lived in DeRidder Louisiana, San Diago California, Seattle Washington, Detroit Michigan, Anchorage/Wasilla Alaska, Montreal Qc, Atlanta/Brunswick Georgia, Jacksonville Florida, and now Culpeper Virginia.
I have just about circled the border of the US, and there is no point stopping now.
@EveKeneinan@CBHeresy And by being the one who decides there are exceptions, one makes themselves a god because they become the moral authority.
You make an extremely good point.
We feed our dog raw meat instead of dog food. She loves pork ribs and they are cheap by us, so that is the food of choice.
One day she took the meaty bone, but left it in the yard. The biggest vulture I have ever seen was staring at me from a sagging tree branch when I dared walk out of my back door an hour later.
That stupid dog ate every one of her meals after that.
Our son has Downs and he is a perfectly healthy and fine kid of 5 years. We usually forget about his extra chromosome, it really doesn’t affect our lives.
He rides a trike, dresses himself, has been potty trained for 2.75 years, and knows how to use a Breville espresso machine.
He nursed until he was 1.5 years old. The stupid nurses at the hospital told us he couldn’t do it, but he is our 5th kid, so of course I didn’t listen.
Don’t let anyone scare you about your daughter’s future. You will probably live at her house when you get old.
Raise her like any other kid, and let her try whatever she wants to try. Like climbing trees.
Read books, teach her to read and write, let her drive the car. She will grow up to marry a handsome husband and have kids of her own.
Congratulations on your beautiful daughter.
@AjRockatansky Yup.
I used to love gummy worms.
I had one the other day and I cannot eat them any more.
I am not total carnivore anymore, love buttered sourdough toast, but I am meat and butter heavy.
I just can’t go back.
@lshaw_Banjo@newstart_2024 What women don’t like about it is that when society is dominated for women, it’s also bad for women.
Life is better for women when men are taking the lead.
And it is better for men’s mental health to be in those leadership positions. Whether it’s in the home or professionally.
@amandafortini I answered a request on Qwoted and the website's AI checker said my response was 100% AI and 0% human. I was pretty upset seeing as I wrote the whole thing. I uploaded my response to Grok and he said it was because my answer was too polished. 🙄
