This cool guy, Jason, met me in Harvey ND this morning.
He's a survivor with an incredible story, a huge heart for others, a strong faith and a passion for agriculture.
I'm so thankful that we connected. I really… https://t.co/9dUrUc9Egw
Dysphagia caused by brain injury - I didn't know this was a thing until it happened to me. How suddenly just trying to swallow can be terrifying.... #jumbledbrain#tbi#braininjury https://t.co/m5W6dUaS86
This brain is so so soooo tired. New learning, battling a bully at work...it’s all just exhausting. Broke down crying Tuesday end of day, but Wednesday made it all better. Now struggling to gather energy to get back at it. #braindrain#anxiety#ithinkican#selfempowerment#ABI
24yrs = 8760 days of lived trauma. The lives of my friends and I would never be the same. When death/trauma rocks a small community, it’s not something to “just get over” after a few years. I still have people messaging me privately, reminding me they will never forget. #ABI#TBI
Do you know what will fix one of our biggest battles with #mentalillness? Not a corporation, not a hashtag or awareness campaign...the answer, my friends, is EMPATHY (as well as its accessory, #kindness). #letstalkaboutmentalhealth
I overheard someone say that "they have to climb over 'them' on their way to work."
My heart broke. Why us/them?
Please treat everyone with respect + dignity. We are each only one hardship or crisis away from being homeless.
Love, not hate. And eye contact goes long way. #love
It’s taken me a week to process & say that my mom had a #heartattack she’s the healthiest person I know; Goes to the gym 5-6 x per week, eats healthy, etc. PLEASE review the symptoms & signs for heart events in #women and share with those in your lives. My knowing them helped ❤️
Alarm set for 5am, but was up every 1-2hrs in night. Snooze from 5-5:20am. 5:30am breakfast. 15mins reading news online. Look at clock every 5mins to gauge progress.
Thinking about showering, getting dressed...do I make a lunch today? No food organized so I guess I buy...
So so tired...4 maybe 5hrs of sleep if I’m lucky. Yesterday was an emotional morning at the funeral of my dear client of 5yrs, and then a busy afternoon in the new job working solo this week with no shadow. My eyes are burning. But today’s a 1/2 day then I’m off for a week. 😴
If you’ve been following this thread then you get my point. Once this becomes routine with well-worm neuronal pathways in my #brain, it creates less stress and havoc. Until then, each step requires unique energy/attention/focus. #newness#mentalhealth#braininjury#ABI#TBI

People ask why I get up so early (5am) if I don’t leave for work till 7:15am.
The short answer: it takes me that long to wake up!
The long answer: I have an adjustment disorder. That means....

...Step 2 - get ready (shower, brush teeth, choose clothes, get dressed, hair & make-up) **choosing clothes is often the most complicated part of this step so I do this the night before

2/ The fact that @Uber doesn’t take complaints made by #women who feel unsafe, dangerous driving almost causing physical harm to my daughter or sexual assault alarms me tremendously. I feel I may have to pursue charges based on their lack of care or help. Pls don’t support #Uber
