Alina Fernández, Cuba's former dictator Fidel Castro's daughter, has a message about communism.
ALINA: Communism doesn't work for people because people have no right under a communist regime.
You don't have freedom. You don't have choices. You're not allowed to have a religion.
It's so oppressive.
And then it doesn't recognize private property. The sense of property, the sense of having something, of aspire to something is very important for the human being.
This regime or this system goes against the basic instinct of a human being.
🚨 CUBAN EXILE OVERWHELMED WITH JOY AS DOJ INDICTS RAUL CASTRO 🚨
At a historic Cuban restaurant in Miami, a man who fled Cuba in 1961 at age 15 broke down in tears as news spread of Raul Castro’s indictment:
“It means some justice for the Cuban people. For 67 years we have been ignored by the United Nations, the Organization of American States, the European Union everybody. We hope this is the beginning of the downfall of the Castro regime.”
He added: “We’re ready to go back and help in the reconstruction of our country with work, with money, with investment, and with love that has been lacking in Cuba for the last 6 decades.”
After decades of communist tyranny, the Cuban people are finally seeing hope. The Castro era is crumbling. Freedom is coming. 🇺🇸🇨🇺
My heart breaks for this man imprisoned in July 2021 Cuba for simply protesting for democratic values. He was finally released now in this horrific condition. If you are in a democratic country be very grateful not everyone is so blessed.
From our country’s beginning, for as long as America has embodied freedom and exceptionalism, the soul of our nation has been rooted in the Christian faith.
Today we gather, as our forefathers did on this day centuries ago, to rededicate our nation to God.
SECRETARY RUBIO: Cuba has an incredible opportunity with tourism and agriculture. They should not be a poor country. Its people should not be starving.
A nation prospers when the State protects rights, not when it hands out privileges.
Freedom, merit, and property were the foundation of the most successful societies in history.
