@TeamYouTube@Pirat_Nation Like I get it, you lot have long since convinced yourselves you're too big to fail. But maaan, your efforts to stress that idea is impressive!
Yes, Mr. Musk. Should I say more stupid things about privatizing the post office? You love when I say things to piss off that Amazon guy. Maybe I should propose another one of your cabinet appointments? They’re so ridiculously funny! Here for you. Can I sit in your chair again?
@TeamYouTube Our Google and Youtube account over 850k subscribers has been hacked. There is no place where we can recover the account. Can you help us? @YouTube
but yeah bringing up “yeah all switch games run better with framerate unlocked” when no one was talking about emulation to begin with feels like the guys who have to shrug off any retro game collection saying “who cares? i can just download some roms and put them on my Pie :^)”
WE HAD A GOOD THING YOU STUPID SON OF A BITCH, WE HAD LOCKPICKRCM, WE HAD TEGRARMCGUI, WE HAD EVERYTHING WE EVER NEEDED. YOU COULD HAVE SHUT YOUR MOUTH AND EMULATED ALL YOU EVER WANTED. BUT NO. YOU JUST HAD TO BLOW IT UP. YOU. AND YOUR PATREON PAYWALL
I'm going to give my final point as to why Nintendo v. Yuzu is ultimately a fucked up and harmful lawsuit to have filed, and why I believe Nintendo MUST lose the suit, but as a separate post.
It's not for the sake of the emulation community, but for the game industry overall.
Sony v. Connectix didn't "prove emulation legal", or "prove a personal copy of software is legal", or "prove backing up your console's BIOS is legal". Shut the fuck up.
What it DID legalize via case law was a developer TEMPORARILY copying a copyrighted work for research reasons.
With Nintendo suing #Yuzu, a public service announcement.
I've been an emulator user since '97, emulator dev since '01, and game dev since '05.
Regarding Bleem! or Connectix, I beg of folks in the #emulation community: Shut the fuck up, you're misinformed.
A thread.
Reading the Nintendo vs Yuzu lawsuit and damn, you broke the one rule of having you specifically not mention piracy despite the fact that everyone knows what people are using it for
I have literally hated his work for years, he lies about the stuff he covered, his jokes are mean spirited and not actually jokes but his genuine "Critique" dressed up as jokes so he can avoid being called out on making shit up or otherwise missing the point.
While we're still shitting on JelloApocalypse, anyone remember that time he put a random YouTuber on blast for the crime of liking the 2003 Fullmetal Alchemist?
the way jelloapocalypse systematically causes problems for every single piece of media he has so much as glanced at is INSANE to me. actual medusa behavior
Meanwhile, JelloApocalypse finally making it so Rooster Teeth can’t deny hiring him to be on RWBY (no matter how small of a role was) a bad idea was on mine
