yet somehow, for these people, cancelling elections in romania when georgescu is about to win is normal, arresting him later is normal, arresting all opposition parties in moldova and armenia is simply "defending democracy", not allowing diaspora living in russia to vote in moldovan elections (which allowing diaspora in other countries to vote) is also defending democracy, ukraine not having elections since 2019 does not prevent it from being a "thriving democracy", magyar banning and jailing fidesz candidates is "saving democracy", georgia passing transparency laws regarding NGO foreign funding sounces (that are modelled on US laws btw) is a "win for putin", etc etc

it's easy to think these people are just liars and propagandists, but the issue is worse: in the totalitarian environment in which they live and to which their brains has been formatted, they are really just incapable of seeing the contradictions

As a 43 y/o who witnessed both, the entry-level job market is *far* worse in the 2020s than it was in the GFC. With the GFC there were at most 2 really bad years before the stimulus rebooted things. With the 2020s we're on year 5 of the Fed choking the life out of the labor mkt.

for the past few months i've been asking our models to paint. opus 5.5 is very skilled at emulating different styles

every image here is a python program generated pixel by pixel. there is no image model, and no off-the-shelf art software. instead, it's about 7,500 lines of code using standard libraries to emulate different brush styles. the agents don't use any pictures as reference, instead working only from what they know about each painter
