@ingineer66@Turbinetraveler It’s more convoluted than that because those medical helicopters run a lot of interfacility transports.
My county has 3, and they’re all on the eastern side of the county.
It’s a 40 minute eta for one from a different county if you’re on the western side.
@ingineer66@Turbinetraveler CHPs always done medevacs, in a lot of places they may be the closest one available. CHPs officers on them are often paramedics specifically for this reason.
California's political leaders have failed to clear the brush in the public land bordering Los Angeles. Fire expert Gabriel Mann explains how the state's policies are making another massive wildfire inevitable.
"It's ready to burn."
@EmoryR_26@JohnKobyltShow@JohnKobyltRadio@DebraMark1 she wasn’t on hold with 911, the incident was pending for 2 hours. waiting for an officer to be able to respond.
calls on the board get cleared eventually, most places have a system in place like this especially metro areas.
@punishedgherkin you don’t like the idea of getting into a knife fight? still being assaulted even though you’ve stabbed the assailant multiple times? the blade sliding down and cutting your own hand?
@7babalon7 also depends on which vital organs you can hit. lot of people don’t realize they’re actively being stabbed for a bit.
if you don’t hit something that’ll cause rapid exsanguination there’s still time for them to do you harm.
@Emmytation@thedigitaldash_ have you looked into trying a cardio selective beta blocker? they’re not as commonly prescribed for anxiety but they work alright without the bronchospasms.
@DavidRobertsLA9@CBSNews You can find the list of aircraft that were assigned and actively working the fire for the first like 8 hours. They were flying. A helicopter was one of the very first units to get on scene.
@amolitor99@nikicaga $2k ambulance ride because people don’t like the helicopter landing near their houses.
it’s a waste of time and poses further risk to the patient rather than simply landing at the actual helipad.
@wackyhijinks@nikicaga A lot of helicopter transports are transfers from smaller hospitals lacking specialty care.
I don’t like the phrasing cause it’d be more stable vs unstable rather than critical.
@heyitkb@rawsalerts@John6715P You keep brining up the EMS world but I feel like you ignored my last comment. On an MCI, are green tags considered casualties?
If you have 20 green patients, is that not an MCI?
@heyitkb@rawsalerts@John6715P Yes we do literally all the time. School bus gets in a minor traffic collision. They’re literally all greens. That’s an MCI.
Are green tags not casualities?
