HWA are excited to join in the fundraising spirit tomorrow (Friday) and have declared a non-uniform day in return for £1 donation.
Students will also have the opportunity to throw custard pies at our brave volunteers in our organised lunch time event!
Class Year 9W produced some excellent work during their art lesson today where they tried their hands at mono printing. A special well done to Cohen Charles - a great first effort.
What an amazing Sports Day HWA!
The event of the day was the epic tug of war between students and teachers. House points are being counted and winner announced Monday.

We are all looking forward to Sports Day tomorrow!

We are very sad to say goodbye to the Year 11’s this week.
Emotions were high today as they celebrated their end of year with sports activities, shirt signing and BBQ lunch before ending the day with a celebration assembly.
We wish them all the best for the future. ☘️
There is a buzz in the air at The High Weald Academy as Euro 2020 kicks off tomorrow!
Staff and Tutor Groups have been entered into the draw. I have a feeling it is going to get competitive over the coming weeks!

We are feeling blessed with the wild flowers that have suddenly appeared at The High Weald. Mr Cooper and the Site Team have worked hard to make our grounds look lovely, thank you.
Year 8’s are learning to use toning and shading in their art lessons this week. Yoanna Cherneva demonstrated this beautifully with the piece of art work she created.
Thank you to all the students who made food donations before the Easter Break in return for wearing own clothes. Nourish were thrilled with our 97.8kg of donations 😇
Our Year 9 girls have impressed Mrs Coleman this week in their Javelin lesson. Although they have missed a year of practice due to lockdown, their lesson was the highest success rate in javelin throws Mrs Coleman has ever experienced at HWA.
