WEEK 1: 1st FanFi Review!
One of the things I think Roberts is doing best here is making every short story feel big. Each one feels as if it could be a part of a larger story, like they are actually fueled by more than what’s on the page itself @spookywv

Every Sunday a new review of mine from FanFiAddict
“And all it took was an invasion from another planet to get you to realize that I’m always right.” - @mattdinniman
Review: Operation Bounce House by Matt Dinniman https://t.co/DQ37QDTL5t

A Black Dragon on Red by PL Stuart is a book with an ending that will stick with me for a long time. It’s dark, full of political maneuvering, and has one heck of a twist at the end.

When I was 13, my favorite author was Stephen King. When I was 20, my favorite author was GRRM. Throughout my 20’s I discovered modern fantasy and my favorite author changed every month it felt like. Now, at 34, my favorite author is Stephen Graham Jones.
When I was 13 my favourite author was Farley Mowat (or maybe Franklin W. Dixon of the early Hardy Boys books).
When I was 20 my favourite author was either Michael Moorcock or Mick Farren. At 30, my fave was probably David Gemmell. At {REDACTED} I no longer have a favourite.
A well paced, bug-heavy novel that meshing art with the darker nature of scientific discovery. Just fell short on being atmospheric and tense for me personally. #FanFiAddict

Beautifully, inventively illustrated, with both that Gorey style and yet still a Tolkien feel. A must-have for Tolkien shelves. @WmMorrowBooks#FanFiAddict

SAUUTI TERRORS, the latest anthology from @sauutiverse has stories that dug deep and rooted inside of me.
My review of this fine collection of African-inspired sci-fi horror stories:

As a huge fan of Bioshock This Gilded Abyss was giving me the same vibes from the very start. And it did not disappoint 🔱
A sickness that turns victims into mindless killers, that occurs while trapped on a giant submersible headed for an abyssal city…

Psychological folk horror and creature feature. The ending nailed it. Creepy, fast, and refreshingly different. The connection to the author’s other work was so cool, I love when people do that, and it made me want to hurry up and get to The Boatman too.

The POVs, the reveals, the cliffhanger… I need book 3 immediately
A slower paced book 2 for The War of Lost Hearts, but it’s setting up something epic

@CJDsCurrentRead I completely agree. I love Mike Flanagan and he definitely gets King, but I’d like to see him do something that hasn’t been done. There’s so many short stories and novellas he could do.
OK...so it begins...my first review for #SPFBO XI is up on FanFiAddict. I had a Dresden-esque journey with BUTCHER BOY by Aaron Daggit. My full review: https://t.co/FgWqvnxnA2

📚 BOOK DESIGN DEEP DIVE 📚
I love urban fantasy, and @GameOverStation’s The Chronos Chronicles is some of the best UF, period. It was an honor designing the interior for her deluxe edition of books 1 & 2. Thanks for the opportunity, Shami!

An amateur film crew, a haunted and isolated location. This one does some interesting things, and most importantly, I truly didn’t know what was going to happen in the end. @byjillianmaria#FanFiAddict
