Tabitha's Way is having a community wide food drive, and we at Highland are looking to help. We will be collecting items this week. If you can provide any of the items on their suggested list or other non-perishable food items, please donate them in the main entry.

It's going to be a short week of school followed by a long weekend for fall break. There will be no school on October 16th and 17th for fall break, and no school on October 20th for Teacher Professional Development day. We hope you'll enjoy the long weekend.

Please check the lost and found when you are here for parent/teacher conferences. There are several items that have been lost for a long time. It's also a great chance to see the location (just across from the office) for when coats/jackets go missing as the weather gets colder.

We have an amazing update for our fundraiser - we got word that the Nicholes family has made a VERY substantial generous donation and another matching donation to take us WAY over the top!! ALL Students will get ALL of the rewards!!

We're embarking on Hawk Walk week! We are about 1/2 way to our overall fundraiser goal...can you help us get to the top and tape Mr. Killpack to the wall! Checkout the weekly schedule for everything happening this week.

Fundraiser Friday: We're getting SO close to reaching the $10,000 level where students will earn Candy From the Roof. This is one of their all time favorite rewards - help us get there. Remember EVERY donation small or large helps the entire student body earn the rewards.

Recess was a little extra fun today. Some of the football players and cheerleaders from Lone Peak came to P.L.A.Y. The students gor to I react with them and of course collect reading cards from them. We enjoy having these "big kids" come to our school each fall.
