Today we told principals how all our changes (ending teaching to the test, giving teachers a new curriculum to unlock their creativity) returns children to the center of what we do. It’s going to be a great school year!
Dallas ISD will observe Juneteenth on Monday, June 19, & district schools and offices will be closed. Juneteenth commemorates the announcement of the emancipation of slaves on June 19, 1865, in Galveston, following the Emancipation Proclamation that was issued two years earlier.
