It’s time to learn area in third grade, and that calls for collaboration! Love to see our @BernshausenKISD friends working together on new skills. @KleinISDMath
Last night, I discovered a good number of Ss making the same mistakes. I needed a quick fix! I took pics of the most common mistakes & inserted them in GoogleSlides to display. Today’s warmup…find the mistakes. Then turn & talk about them. I heard great convos! #KleinMath
Some first grade friends are solving addition word problems with concrete manipulatives, and others are using representation. Allowing students to have autonomy gives them confidence during intervention. @KleinISDMath@BernshausenKISD
Comparing numbers to 20 in Tier 2 with number paths, linking cubes and sentence stems. We added the symbols to our sentence stems to scaffold the grade level skill expectation, and they made tons of connections! @KleinISDMath@BernshausenKISD
Getting ready to progress monitor my kiddos on 10 more/10 less & they all used a strategy that best fits their learning style- some modeled with base ten blocks, others drew rods & units, & the rest saw the pattern & were able to solve it mentally! @BernshausenKISD
Late evening working w/our Math Specialists & Interventionists on screeners, closing gaps & progress monitoring! Grateful to have @HighsmithEdu as a co-lead on this journey!
Praying for all staff, students, and families in our #KleinFamily for God’s abundant blessings over them and our wonderful school district this year!🙏🏼🙌🏼❤️💯 Y’all be sure to share your #KleinFirstDay photos today!
Mahaffey families-don’t forget, each student went home with a personal targeted learning binder! If you’re needing something to fill some day time lulls or start getting back in to school mode, this is a great tool! 🐾❤️
