I will never forgive hybe for disbanding them at the height of their career after escaping nugudom and the day before their 10 year anniversary.
They deserved so much better.
【IMPORTANT NOTICE】
On August 21, 2026, SCANDAL celebrated its 20th anniversary with the “SCANDAL 20th Anniversary Live ʻChapter 20ʼ at Osaka-Jo Hall.”
Osaka-Jo Hall is the stage the four of us dreamed of standing on when we had just formed the band. Over the years, we have celebrated many important days on the stage here at Osaka-Jo Hall.
On this important day marking 20 years as a band, we are proud to be standing here once again, still the same four members we were back then.
To everyone who came to the venue, watched the livestream, and celebrated our 20th anniversary with us, we would like to express our deepest gratitude.
After this performance, there is something the four of us would like to tell you.
Our 20-year journey as SCANDAL will reach its final chapter on August 21, 2027.
Over these years, we have traveled throughout Japan and around the world. Through the places we have been able to visit, the people we have met, and the many experiences we could only have had by living our lives as SCANDAL, the four of us feel that we have truly done all that we could together.
Deciding how to bring an end to a band that has been together for this long was truly difficult. But after talking it over many times, the four of us eventually came to this conclusion.
As our final journey together, we will tour all 47 prefectures of Japan starting this October, and on August 21, our 21st anniversary, we will hold a solo concert at Yokohama Arena.
Over this final year together, weʼll cherish every show and every day, and weʼll keep playing as the four of us until the very last moment.

Can I be problematic and say that yes, K-pop was always inspired by western music, but it's not like Americans were releasing Roly Poly, The Chaser or Fantastic Baby. You know very well what we mean when we say: 'I miss when K-pop sounded like K-pop' and it's so annoying when ++
Vernon on Kpop
🐻❄️: I feel like Kpop sounds more and more like American pop instead of Kpop and i think a lot of people talk about that too so it makes me want to go back to like the 2000s or the early 2010s like when i was in elementary school like wonder girls, or big bang or 2NE1, all that.
I think it’s because kpop producers always try to bring American sounds to kpop and make it their own thing and i think right now they got to the point where they’re too good. You can’t differentiate between Kpop and Pop, i mean you can but the gap has become more and more thin.
All 3 songs named were made by the late Shinsadong Tiger and with each having a distinct sound that recognized for their group. Nowadays most new groups lack that distinction.
What he is saying is 100% true. Even back in the day with kpop songs being made by same producer no could ever confuse Apink - No No No , EXID - Up & Down, T-ara - Sexy Love being the same song nor could it be confused with the sound of Americans pop music.
