I would argue that if you have never earned paragraph 5 salary, you were not an NFL player. You were interviewing.
I would also argue that continuing to use the term “pro” in the latest litigious college football battle is disingenuous and purposefully narrative shaping.
The 2022 class is a special case. They were caught in between two policies. The courts, NCAA and SEC have an opportunity to address their unique situation. Don’t condemn the athletes for exercising their rights through the proper channels to continue their careers.
This doesn’t absolve a member institution from attempting to circumvent conference rules. But it does underscore the importance of player agency and recourse to protect themselves from harm.
Tony Clayton brought up SEC Bylaw 12.6 multiple times today in court to Greg Sankey. Attached below.
The bylaw states and establishes Five-Year Period Of Eligibility.
@eliknowsall@jfred1212@ChrisVannini They didn't withdraw from the draft because the draft was their only option at the time.
The NCAA created the 5 for 5 rule after the draft. That's what's caused so much of the problems. They should've given them the option when the rule was enacted.
@CajunDeathRide@ChrisVannini The NCAA should've given them the option to return for the same 5th year that all the other athletes are getting.
If they had done that in June the players wouldn't have gone to camps and this wouldn't be an issue.
They are being wronged and should fight like hell.
@cajunphried@ChrisVannini Based on this, I have to ask, what about all the foreign players in college basketball who came from professional leagues? Aren't they solely focusing on sports development and competition? Aren't they getting paid?
🚨🚨President Trump just POSTED BOMBSHELL Michigan 2020 Ballot fraud operation Christopher Wray and Michigan AG Dana Nessel covered up.
An official investigation is on the way.
“There was a coup.”
Eight thousand to twelve thousand falsified ballot applications were submitted in one day in a small town in Michigan with only 36,000 people.
An NGO—GBI Strategies—operated in multiple swing states and was busted for submitting fraudulent voter registrations during October 2020.
Following a raid, Michigan authorities discovered caches of prepaid gift cards, firearms equipped with silencers, and disposable burner phones.
Throughout the 2020 election period, these Democrat election committees provided more than $4,000,000 to this organization:
Biden for President: $450,000
Democratic Senatorial Campaign: $2,117,605
DNC Services Corp: $1,031,856
Democrat Party of Iowa: $493,100
The investigation began after a Muskegon, Michigan, clerk observed an individual depositing 8,000 to 10,000 completed voter registration applications at the city office on October 8, 2020.
The same individual returned multiple times, registering an additional 2,500 voters.
Thousands of these registrations showed identical handwriting with fraudulent addresses and phone numbers.
Additionally, the signatures did not match those on file with Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson.
📝 ACORN, during the Kenyan administration, which had over half a million members and more than 1,200 neighborhood chapters, ceased operations in 2010 after being caught in a similar multi-state fraudulent voter registration operation.
And guess what the criminals did when Christopher Wray got hold of this investigation?
He handed it back to the same criminals who were running it:
Gov. Gretchen Whitbag, AG Dana Nessel, and Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson.
📝Ban mass mail In ballots, and who thr f**k were they planning to shoot?
