Johnson’s advice for @NewhousePR students: Take every opportunity to reach out to professionals, network with each other and use all you’ve learned to talk up your experience to those that aren’t familiar.
The industry is trending towards influencer marketing, as Johnson reports they “offer easy-to-track campaigns that can be allocated to a specific source."
Johnson says that the number of interactions are more important than the number of followers - after all, in this day and age, the industry is ridden with follow-bots.
According to Johnson, “data is starting to become a huge part of marketing and PR - especially clients.” Using numbers to back creative efforts will deliver the results your clients want to see.
