A Luo man from Kisumu arrives in Nairobi Ngong Road looking for a place to sleep. He gets into Mirima Lodge, slaps Kshs. 3K on the counter & heads straight upstairs to select a 3rd-floor room. Mr. Njoroge the cashier, grabs the 3K, dashes out to pay the butcher 3K for the meat supplied. The butcher rushes out to pay the goat farmer 3K for supplies. The farmer settles his 3K debt at the Agro-feeds & Vet shop. The Vet shopkeeper Sneaks out to pay 3K to Mirima Lodge & clears his debt for the room he used earlier that week As he happily leaves for the door, the man from Kisumu returns downstairs & asks Mr. Njoroge for his 3K, stating he didn't like any of the unkempt rooms & will try Kilimani. As he takes back the money he has no idea how he has set everyone free of debt but no money has been left circulating in the area... But at least, debts have been settled. The Big Question is.... How do you explain that about 5 debts of 3k each were cleared by only 3k which in fact was never spent? Is this Accounting? Is it Economics? Or is it an illusion of Commerce? Suppose Wamunyoro endorses Sifuna for President on condition that the Nairobi governorship goes to a Kikuyu. Will the people around Sifuna go for Wamunyoro or decide to sacrifice Babu, whose Luo base is with Ruto? Something close to that will definitely happen. It’s inevitable because politics is all about interests. Mount Kenya will not accept to relinquish the presidency, deputy presidency & Nairobi governorship all at once. It will be very very difficult, and they can never allow it to happen. In my opinion, I think Babu is afraid of siding too strongly with Sifuna because of Wamunyoro. If Sifuna decides to go it alone without Riggy G, Babu will switch to the Wamunyoro side of the opposition. He doesn’t believe Sifuna has what it takes to help him win Nairobi without Riggy G, and that may not be far from the truth. Babu can easily finish third behind Karauri and Sakaja if he thinks Sifuna needs him more than he needs Sifuna. He was useful to Sifuna before, but the wave has changed the political atmosphere in this country. Even Kalonzo and Matiang’i have been swept by the wave and reduced to spectators. The second largest voting community in Nairobi is the Luhya, with more than 530k Mulembe votes out of Nairobi’s 2.5 million votes. This is not the time to create a rift between Sifuna and Ongili. They need each other, but Babu needs Sifuna more because Gachagua can never support anyone other than his DCP candidate in the Nairobi gubernatorial race. Otherwise siasa bado.
