@ClimberCraig_@enenbee@ppleater And…… USA has more hospitals, doctors, nurses and people available to give the vaccinations to the masses compared to Australia.
@ClimberCraig_@enenbee@ppleater lets just all remind ourselves that Newzealand has 80% less population than australia...yet we are ahead of them as a % of total population. So essentially Australia is doing far better than Newzealand…..
UK citizens are losing our European citizenship because of Brexit. @StayEuropean is the campaign for an EU associate membership scheme that would give us the option to continue as EU members as individuals. https://t.co/Rkfce9IPTP
@TValidakis@QandA Hi Tom, I think it would be good if you started taking your medication again. Blocking you because I don’t want to add fuel to your fire. Have a great life and maybe go back to Greece, at least that’s what I think Trump would say to you.
@TValidakis@QandA Hi Tim, do you have any idea of what the Brits did when they took this land. Rape, murder, massacre, slavery, forced labour and child theft to name just a few savoury blasts from the past. They were fine without us and we weren’t invited. Give them a say.
@TValidakis@QandA Agree it’s terrible but has nothing to do with the original question. 1) They want the ability to comment on how this country goes forward. 2) They would continue living off the land and survived indefinitely without interference from Europeans. 3) We took this land from them.
@TValidakis@QandA Well Tom Validakis, you must be on ice, crack or something. They had enough food to survive thousands of years. Cook and his crew did not bring food and other gifts for the locals. They came and took the land for the British Empire. Now we all have a conscience except you.
@TValidakis@QandA Not sure of what you are saying. Do you think massacres were ok? Maybe they were starving after cook and co started taking the local food? The aboriginals were rightly upset when we imposed our rule over them. How would it be if China or USA invaded and took our land?
@TValidakis@QandA In many ways the comparison of China and Tibet to Australia and how the Fist Nation people feel is true. Maybe if you were Aboriginal you could understand. No to a third chamber but a voice to parliament is reasonable by any measure. I am a new Australian & lucky to have a voice
@TValidakis@QandA So not true that they were starving. They managed for thousands of years without us. We need to embrace them and let them have a say that is meaningful for them and us.
@666ocker666 @QandA@abcnews For example “Former Treasurer Paul Keating joins commercial financier MaxCap”. This is on top of his generous pension. What’s good for the goose!
@666ocker666 @QandA@abcnews I think you will find that liberal, Labour, and Green MPs all benefit from the same ridiculously high pension when they retire to private life. I recall Paul Keating sat on numerous boards for several years after he left politics. I think they all take advantage of political life
@usefulDesign@QandA@CISOZ Got it, but in the end hi tech (i360) or low tech (Getup) both have similar outcomes. Targeted attracts to create an outcome that otherwise may not have occurred. Mind you Abbott going was as good for the left as it was for the right.
@potatopsoas @bigdadeo@QandA@ConversationEDU What jobs should they take, one’s they know absolutely nothing about. What conflict, they are no longer MP’s and no rule has been broken.
@whitesl365 @QandA@CISOZ Agree, but we need centrist politics as most Australians are “middle of the road”. Far right (Abbott) and far left (Shorten) went down badly with the average Joe and Jane. Albo is heading to the middle and Morrison is not too extreme (yet).
@devduthie@QandA@CISOZ I felt for Penny but it was Bill who fell short for the electorate. Class war is not pretty and defiantly not Australian. I think Albo will fix this but he is already under pressure for supporting the tax bill. Rock and a hard place for him.
