@ScottGustin It’s good to see Disney building more outdoor coaster, who cares about rhe exposed track. Just theme it property and as long as the ride is great nobody cares.
@arothwdwc I really hope this attraction is a hit. I was shocked how good Expedition Odyssey was, if this is good and they can transform that corner of the park with a few other flats I can see this being a major win for the park moving forward.
@SeaWorld did you guys change your park hours today? Yesterday I think the park was shown as being open til 10pm, and now it’s listed as 9pm?
Also Hydro Surge had three showings listed yesterday and today it’s cancelled, what’s going on here?
@TheSammahmood_ I mostly agree with all of this but how have the U.S. Women been at the top of the world competitively utilizing the same system? It seems to work for them.
2/$1 now when they’ve been 3/99c for years? WTF @mikeandike, this is total bs and you know it.
I’ll be taking my business to Lemon heads, atleast they still care about the consumer.
@ShawnNOrlando Yes, my kids were over 36” or 38” when they were 6 or 7 and as soon as there were tall enough for bigger rides that’s all they wanted. I get that they’re not going to build a 300 ft coaster at the kids park but I feel like there’s something else you can offer.
USA. A Mexican restaurant. We had not yet ordered anything, and the food was already arriving.
Chips. Salsa. Unrequested. Free.
I stopped the waiter. "We have not earned these."
"They just come with the table, man."
They come with the TABLE. In my land, hospitality is a debt. Every gift creates an obligation, weighed carefully, returned in the proper season with interest of feeling. Here, the gift arrives before you have even proven you can pay for dinner.
This is not an appetizer. This is a declaration: we trust you. Eat.
I ate with the gravity the moment deserved. And then — I must report this calmly — the basket emptied, and a new one appeared.
"Did we…?"
"Refill," the waiter said. "It's bottomless."
Bottomless. They have wells of salsa. The supply lines of this nation are beyond anything my ancestors imagined.
My friend warned me. "Don't fill up on chips, dude."
Too late. I had accepted three baskets. Honor demanded each one be finished — an unfinished gift is an insult. By the time my actual food arrived, I was a ruined man.
I was not hungry. I was not comfortable. I had been defeated by a courtesy.
Generosity that arrives before the request cannot be repaid. It can only be survived.
I know the rule now. I have made my peace with the basket. One basket. Two at the most.
Who am I deceiving. There is no number of baskets I would refuse. The trust of a nation is in that salsa, and I intend to honor all of it.
