Not sure of the name of this moth. Google lens suggests light brown apple moth, but it looks different to the photos, and was a creamish yellow. Help with ID appreciated @BioDataCentre@BrennanMartine
My first encounter with a hummingbird hawk-moth in Co. Wexford yesterday. It was fascinating watching it feed, but could only take a photo once it settled for a rest. It was very well camouflaged on the forest track. @BioDataCentre#TwitterNatureCommunity#moth
Flies infected with a parasitic fungus - seems to be more abundant this year in Co. Wexford. Under the influence of the fungus the fly goes to the top of the plant before dying so that fungal spores are dispersed in the wind. #Wildwebswednesday#TwitterNatureCommunity
For the #CabbageFamily challenge for #Wildflowerhour - hairy bittercress and cuckoo flower. The cuckoo flower is having a good year with lots of it around.
