Nigeria has 371,800 police officers.
Over 100,000 of them are not policing Nigeria. They are opening car doors and carrying bags for politicians.
The actual police strength available to 236 million ordinary Nigerians is 270,000. One officer per 876 citizens.
The UN recommended ratio is one per 400.
Nigeria is not just short of police officers but also Nigeria is short of a government that thinks your safety matters as much as a senator’s comfort.
Your taxes fund bodyguards protecting people who have never protected you.
@isasquare No they forcefully move you if you exceed 600GB twice in 6months. It applies to me but I only pay £25/month. Since I will never go anywhere near 600GB, it is unlimited for me as it removes any worries about data usage for me
@muhammad_waziri I don’t argue all that but tints isn’t even top 50 of our problems, they’re just purely incompetent. All the one chance they’ve been shouting mostly have clear glasses and sometimes even do broad daylight activities. Also remember they issued tint permit so a criminal can do it🤷🏽♂️
The day NPF stops hiding behind “tint” is the day that institution will move forward. Every IGP comes give them few months they’ll start shouting tint. Rinse and repeat year in year out.
The dishonesty is astounding. Now they are paying their propaganda boys to put pressure on Dangote to reduce his price, whereas it was them that were supposed to provide the lower prices through government owned refineries and outlets.
In a nutshell, FG stole $2.1 billion, trying to sabotage Dangote with importation, and also putting pressure on the fuel prices through market manipulation!
Bandits stormed a town, kidnapped a whole family, gave the father a knife to slaughter his daughter, the father refused. They gave the mother the knife to slaughter her daughter, she equally refused. The bandits then raped the daughter before the eyes of her dad & mom, & later on killed both the father & the mother. 💔💔💔😭😭😭😭
Scenes from the successful rescue of 360 abductees in Borno, the majority of them women and children, during a coordinated operation by Special Forces troops and the 26 Task Force Brigade. An outstanding achievement by our security personnel. 🇳🇬
I visited the place about 30 years ago: a truly breathtaking ambience. The weather is temperate, colder than Jos and the cows are as fresh as the Oyinbo breed. Mambilla should be Nigerians’ foremost tourist destination, instead of the mad rush to Dubai, Cairo or Istanbul and other European capitals.
Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un!!! 💔
Whoever knows @Addahaleem here knows her to be one of the loudest and most consistent voices speaking out against kidnapping and banditry in this country. No matter what insecurity occurs, you’ll always see her tweeting persistently about it.
I’ve just received the news that her parents have been kidnapped.
Ya Allah, please rescue them safely and protect them from every harm by those cruel people.
Please include them in your prayers. 💔🙏🏼
@dikko_radda we know you’re doing your best, but please do more to see this family is rescued. 🙏🏼
