@VineethaMokkil All the books from Stephen Alter always have beautiful covers. I have read three of his books, another one "Wild Himalaya" coming today!
“We travel, initially, to lose ourselves; and we travel, next to find ourselves. We travel to open our hearts and eyes and learn more about the world than our newspapers will accommodate. We travel to bring what little we can, in our ignorance and knowledge, to those parts of the globe whose riches are differently dispersed. And we travel, in essence, to become young fools again - to slow time down and get taken in, and fall in love once more.”

The Gaur.
Considered the largest bovine on the planet, the tallest among Oxen the males can weigh a ton or more. Stories of them goring Leopards and Tigers aren't uncommon!

A spectacle unlike any other.
Kheechan is one of the most spectacular avian sites on Earth to witness the gathering of Demoiselle Cranes. This small village on the edge of Rajasthan’s desert becomes a winter haven for thousands of these elegant birds.
Standing atop a nearby rooftop, we watch in awe as wave after wave of cranes arrives from the surrounding sand dunes, descending onto a football field-sized feeding ground where villagers have continued the tradition of caring for these birds for generations.
With 4000–5000 cranes often filling the sky, the sight, sound, and sheer scale of this gathering are simply unforgettable.

Please don’t share nesting & feeding videos of birds and wildlife. There is a reason why most wildlife magazines and groups ban this. It’s to discourage nest-abandonment.
That doesn’t mean every photographer is bad. It means if we love birds, we can set the bar.
Watch birds. Love birds. But don’t promote nest photography because someone else with a camera will not show the same restraint.
There have been many cases of nest abandonment due to crowding after nest photography. The bird is worth more than the image.
