Hello all,
It’s an amazing thing as an artist to look back and see followers who have been with you since the very beginning. I’m grateful for that over so many decades and especially on our recent tour. The response has been amazing! A neat part of social media for me is the questions you send in and ask in the comments. It’s a lot of fun answering them and sharing memories from my life & career. Now I have a question for you.

Many of you mention the jazz influence in my songwriting & hits with both The Guess who and Bachman-Turner Overdrive. I have produced 2 jazz albums which I loved making and recording: Jazz Thing I & II.

I'm asked often to do a third but the industry has changed so much with streaming, downloads, record labels and the loss of most record stores. However, I have 8 new "jazz-rock" songs ready, and a friend of mine has just opened a new recording studio with the capacity for video, mixing, mastering & pressing vinyl. Exciting!

So I’d like your thoughts here:

1. Would you be interested in another jazz album?
2. How much would you pay for a 12 inch vinyl with 8 songs, strong artwork, printed lyrics, etc? Vintage albums sell online for up to $75 depending on band/music/condition. Considering the current cost of living, is $24.99 a fair price point for a new album? Each one would be numbered, autographed by me and mailed directly to you.
3. If enough of you are interested, I'll proceed with Jazz Thing III and get 1000 vinyl copies pressed. If the response is bigger than 1000 units, we’ll do another run. We could also manage downloads for digital devices or cds if anyone still plays them. I ask because I play cds in my truck.

It’s great that vinyl has made a comeback. There’s nothing like a game of cards or Scrabble after dinner with music on in the background like the good old days.
