This latest update with the Smart Assist filter has exposed something interesting: even Smart Assist users don't seem to enjoy playing against each other.
A lot of players were able to climb the divisions and break into the top 1 million rankings because they were matched against non-Smart Assist users and could leverage the AI assistance to their advantage.
Now that the filter is here, everything is out in the open.
At this same stage in the previous phase, you would already see well over a million players in Division 2. But now, a rating of just 1,500 can put you above the 700k–800k ranking range. That's a massive difference.
To me, this shows that many players were relying heavily on Smart Assist rather than their actual skill level.
What's even funnier is that some Smart Assist users don't seem to enjoy playing against other Smart Assist users. They want the advantage of using Smart Assist, but they don't want to face opponents with the same advantage.
This update exposed y'all.
@Ben30jamin@phill76298@Ace_Efil@RMCF_Steph@Morire65@zeusthegreg We're We were used to people who didn't know how to play without AI, so we learned their defensive patterns and scored a lot of goals. Now there are no patterns, everyone plays differently, and that's why it seems more difficult.
