Hindu Canadian Foundation welcomes the clear, fact‑based stance by @csiscanada identifying “Canada‑Based Khalistani Extremists (CBKEs)” as the network behind the Air India 182 bombing that killed 329 innocent people most of them Canadians.
This clarity matters. Victims deserve justice. We appreciate the leadership of @MarkJCarney and others committed to building a safer Canada by confronting extremist threats operating on our soil.
This reinforces HCF’s long‑standing call to designate CBKEs as a terrorist entity to safeguard Canadians from all walks of life.

“On this National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism, CSIS remembers the 329 people on Air India Flight 182 who lost their lives due to a heinous act of terror.
On June 23, 1985, a bomb planted by Canada‑based Khalistani extremists destroyed the aircraft, killing everyone on board—most of them Canadians. It remains the deadliest terrorist attack in Canada’s history and a defining moment for our national security community.
CSIS was less than a year old at the time, and the tragedy shaped our evolution. Over the past four decades, we have remained committed to protecting Canadians from political, religious, and ideologically motivated violence.”

Yesterday I went for a talk/interactive session at a Hindu Temple. The audience was 70 young children aged 5 to 18. Almost all of them were born and raised in Canada. I want to share a few things from that interaction that really hurt me:
1. I asked the children how they identify at a personal level. All of them said they are Canadians. Yes, they happen to be of Indian origin, but they are Canadians. They were equally proud of their Canadian and Indian identity and saw no conflict or contradiction in them. And their primary identity is Canadian, not Indian.
2. When I asked those kids if they had been bullied in class because of their Indian identity or Hindu faith, almost 65% of the children raised their hands.
3. When I asked them if their fellow classmates of other faiths tried to proselytise them, 10% raised their hands. In fact, they said their Muslim classmates would particularly try to convert them to Islam.
4. When I asked them whether their classmates really understand the difference between Indian and Hindu, they said that in 50% of the cases the insults are because they mix Hindu and Indian identities.
5. What was most heartening was that all the children did not have a negative outlook towards life despite all of this. They were determined to succeed and loved Canada a lot.
I noticed these kids live in an Abrahamic world and are getting othered because of their faith. Also, these children aren't being given the intellectual tools to understand what is happening to them and why. That, in my opinion, is our failure as Hindus and Indians. They came from different schools, so you can't even say they all had this experience at one particular school. Canadian/Indian/Hindu parents in Canada should pay more attention to these things. Being a model minority doesn't mean you don't stand up for your rights. Your children deserve dignity, and just because they happen to be Hindus does not give anyone the right to ill-treat them.
On India’s Independence Day, we celebrate the deep connections that bring our people together. More than 1.8 million Canadians of Indian origin have helped to shape Canada, enriching our communities and strengthening those bonds across generations.
Over the past year, Canada and India have built new momentum and set an ambitious course for what comes next. From the roadmap that Minister Jaishankar and I launched last fall to Prime Minister Carney’s visit thereafter, we are laying the foundation for a relationship that delivers greater opportunity, prosperity and security for both countries.
Canada extends its warmest wishes to the people of India and members of the Indo-Canadian community on the landmark occasion of India's 80th Independence Day.
For Hindus across the world, India holds a unique and enduring place in our civilizational heritage. Regardless of where Hindus are born or where they live today, Bharat is the ancestral home of Hindu Dharma, the sacred land from which our traditions, philosophies, festivals, pilgrimage sites and spiritual heritage have flourished for thousands of years.
The Hindu Canadian Foundation (HCF) is deeply concerned by the rise of Anti-Hindu and Anti-India rhetoric that seeks to target Hindu Canadians because of their Indian ancestry or their cultural and spiritual connection with Bharat.
We are particularly concerned about harassment, intimidation and attacks directed at Hindu Canadians and Hindu temples by organizations associated with Khalistani extremist movements. Political disagreements must never become an excuse to intimidate Canadians, vandalize places of worship, or question someone’s belonging in Canada simply because they are Hindu or have ancestral roots in India.
Being proudly Canadian does not require Hindus to disconnect themselves from their ancestral heritage which is INDIA.
HCF stands firmly against the targeting of Hindus, Hindu institutions and our ancestral heritage. We call upon community leaders, public officials and Canadians of every background to reject hatred, intimidation and collective blame regardless of whom it targets.
Proudly Hindu. Proudly Canadian. Proud of our ancestral roots in Bharat.

For India, @TheEconomist opines that Sharia law should be enforced alongside any Indian uniform civil codes.
For the UK, @TheEconomist opines that enforcing Sharia law alongside any British uniform civil codes "poses problems."

From the ancient Gurukul tradition to today’s classrooms, workplaces, families and digital learning spaces, the spirit of the Guru–Shishya Parampara continues to guide Bharat’s civilizational journey.
Guru Poornima is traditionally observed in honour of Maharishi Ved Vyasa, whose wisdom preserved and shared the timeless knowledge of Sanatan Dharma. It is a sacred occasion to express gratitude to every teacher, mentor, parent and guide who removes the darkness of ignorance and leads us toward knowledge, discipline and Dharma.
In a modern world filled with information, a true Guru gives us something even more valuable clarity, character and direction.

Members, associates & friends of Hindu Sikh Unity Forum Canada had the profound honour of meeting Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji, Padma Vibhushan and Founder of the Art of Living Foundation. The revered spiritual leader appreciated the organization's mission of fostering harmony and unity between Canada's Hindu and Sikh communities and spoke with great reverence on the sacrifices of the Sikh Gurus for Dharma, humanity and universal love.

Canada‑based Khalistani extremists and those in politics who quietly enable them have long abused, threatened, and intimidated Hindu Canadians. These extremists (#CBKEs) have harassed Hindu Canadians from coast to coast while political leaders largely remained silent.
The previous Prime Minister’s public accusations against India empowered these extremist networks and left Indo‑Canadian communities, especially Hindus, more vulnerable than ever.
Latest investigation exposes a criminal gang war involving a foreign gang and Canada‑based Khalistani extremists (#CBKEs). The message is unmistakable: Canada is dealing with homegrown Khalistani extremist violence, and our leaders must respond with seriousness, urgency, and honesty.
We repeat this and demand accountability: the Prime Minister @MarkJCarney condemned the June 23 Air India bombing carried out by Canada‑based Khalistani extremists. But Opposition Leader did not acknowledge it on his social media. This silence is deeply concerning and must change.
HCF will continue to demand accountability, stronger enforcement, and protection for Hindu Canadians who have endured years of intimidation.

Strongly stand with Ruchi Wali against the harassment she is facing by Canada Based Khalistani Extremists (#CBKEs)
Khalistani extremists carried out the Air India 182 bombing, killing 329 innocent souls, Canada’s deadliest terrorist attack. Truth cannot be erased by threats or disinformation. We must confront extremism, and ensure justice for victims. Stay strong, We Stand Together in protecting Canadians from extremism.

The crisis of antisemitism in Canada today demands a targeted response. It also requires all of us to raise our voices in disgust and defiance when we see the ugly face of antisemitism.
Because Canada’s promise is a country where Jewish Canadians can be visibly, fully, joyfully Jewish in public life.

Kanishka Bombing -1 - @csiscanada announced a few days ago that #Khalistani terrorists based in Canada had been responsible for the #AirIndia#kanishka#AI182#bombing
It’s been 41 years, the families knew this all along, and so did the Justice Josephson who presided on the biggest travesty of Justice in Canadian history.
In fact, the US intelligence agencies like FBI, CIA, US secret service knew well in advance & visited Parmar days before the bombing and warned him not to attempt anything on US SOIL, as Rajiv Gandhi was visiting Reagan. The now released intel reports show that.
CSIS had wiretaps from March to June 1985 into Parmar reyat bagri Malik gill Mr X and many more, yet over 200 hours of wiretaps were destroyed, ensuring that no criminal conviction could happen.
The @rcmpgrcpolice even tracked Parmar, Mr X & Co into the woods at Duncan to test fire the bomb days before the actual bombing. So there was no smoking gun, the cannons had been firing on all cylinders.
It’s time we families get justice

Delayed statements and disinformation this is what some politicians have chosen to stand for. What troubles us most is that this is not empathy. It trivializes ‘victims’ pain. It turns a solemn day of remembrance into something performative.
HCF unequivocally denounces this misuse of a national tragedy.
On the National Day of Remembrance for the victims of Air India Flight 182 , the deadliest terrorist attack on Canadian soil, carried out by violent #khalistani extremist groups (#CBKEs) , Canadians expected leadership, clarity, and respect.
Instead, the CPC leadership failed to acknowledge the day entirely.
Not a single statement from Opposition Leader @PierrePoilievre. After more than 24+ hours, @TimUppal post spreading misinformation.
For a party that speaks often about safety and justice, this silence followed by distortion is unacceptable.
HCF calls upon @CPC_HQ to uphold the dignity of victims and demonstrate the moral consistency Canadians deserve.

Today we remember the 329 lives lost in the Air India bombing, Canada’s deadliest terrorist attack, and honour all those whose lives have been forever changed by acts of terror.
Their memory remains in our thoughts, and their stories will not be forgotten.
Reacting to the CSIS statement, the Hindu Canadian Foundation (HCF) welcomed “the clear, fact‑based stance” taken by the agency.
"This clarity matters. Victims deserve justice,” HCF said, adding that this reinforced its standing call “to designate CBKEs as a terrorist entity to safeguard Canadians from all walks of life.”
CBKEs is a NATIONAL SECURITY threat for all Canadians. Declare #CBKEs as Terrorist Entity.

The National Day of Remembrance for Air India 182 deserves timely and unwavering attention. A message shared 24+ hours later may be noted, but the families of 329 people killed onboard deserved priority yesterday not delay.Remembrance must be consistent, not convenient.
