चलिए मान लिया!

लेकिन कोर्ट के आदेश और सोनम के हेल्थ की इतनी और ईमानदार चिंता होती तो संवाद करते! सरकार उनसे बातचीत करती! उनसे बात कर उनका अनशन समाप्त करवा सकती थी! ये सभी तो शांति तरीके से प्रोटेस्ट कर रहे थे! शिक्षा जैसे बुनियादी मुद्दे पर! क्या गलत था इसमें!

इनसे बातचीत करने के लिए किसने रोका था? यही से मंशा पर सवाल उठती है और ये उनके हेल्थ की चिंता और कोर्ट का आर्डर वाला तर्क बेमानी लगता है!

Hunger strikes work only when the establishment fears that your loyal supporters would riot, and the situation would get impossible to control, if you starve yourself to death.

The risk of anarchy outweighs the benefits of doing manmani in such cases. That's why the British couldn't simply let Gandhi die during his fasts.

If you die on a hunger strike without that kind of loyal mass support, you're simply another one of the thousands who die a Vishwagorillian death everyday in this country.
