Today marks the end of my time working at the University of Manchester. It has been a real honour to support our wonderful @UoMChemistry students over the past 2 years ❤️
Happy #IWD2022 to all those who identify as a woman. I'm incredibly proud to work with many inspiring women (students and colleagues alike) as they make waves in their field. @UoMChemistry
Today we’re profiling some of our great women who work in advanced materials, biotechnology, cancer, energy and global inequalities research.

@ChemCharley All good here thanks Charley- hope you are doing well and enjoying your research! I'm going to be on campus more often now so will hope to bump into you for a catch up. Thank you so much for the sweet card 😊
Everyone at the University can access Togetherall – an online ‘safe space’ community monitored by trained clinicians, where staff and students can have confidential, anonymous conversations.
@EarlyYrsCassie Oh Cassie, I've just taken a look and I'm absolutely furious for you all! What an unnecessary invasion of privacy for staff. I hope that Disability/Mental Health/EDI organisations will jump on this straight away as it is completely unacceptable.
If you want to take steps to improve your overall health in 2022 that’s wonderful… just one reminder if I may. STOP CONFUSING HEALTH WITH WEIGHT LOSS. They are not the same thing. Tell the fear-mongering, shame-inducing, self-esteem abusing charlatans to get in the bin.
Going to university or college this month? Our friends at @StudentMindsOrg have put together some great tips, tools and stories to help you prepare for your academic adventure! https://t.co/2cgiFj6IgD
@HingleyJess and Dr. Simon Cotter from @UoMChemistry & @ManUniMaths won the award for Outstanding Support and Pastoral Care! Abigail Webb, also from @UoMChemistry, received the runner up award.
@PassUom@UoMChemistry @ManUniMaths Thank you to our wonderful Chemistry Pass Team for your hard work in organising these Faculty Awards! It is such an honour to receive this.
If you or someone you know has experienced problematic behaviour you can use the University’s Report and Support Platform. This allows you to report something anonymously or report it and get confidential support from a Harassment Support Advisor.

We know our team can be busy but we want to support you.
Just attended a fantastic training session on supporting Student Sex Workers. I'd urge all HE Support Staff to look into the research and resources surrounding this- @sfsswuk and @NationalUglyMug are a good place to start.
Human rights are for everyone – no matter who you are or whom you love.

That being said, EVERYONE deserves help (diagnosed mental illness or not). Do reach out to organisations such as @MindCharity and @GiveUsAShout if you need to talk.
This #mhaw I've made a conscious decision to be more mindful of what I'm sharing. More than ever, it seems that 'mental health' and 'mental illness' are becoming confused and leaving many feeling ostracised. The time for awareness has passed, now is the time for action.
