On February 10, 2025, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) was ordered to pause ALL ELECTION SECURITY ACTIVITIES for review, placed staff on leave, fired/reassigned roughly 130 employees — including election security team and advisors.

But @realDonaldTrump and the @GOP @HouseGOP @SenateGOP @Republicans expect us to believe they care about "election integrity."

On August 20, 2025, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) was ordered to DISMANTLE the Foreign Malign Influence Center — which tracked, analyzed, and countered foreign influence operations targeting U.S. elections, public discourse, institutions, and democracy.

On July 9, 2026, the last remaining Election Assistance Commission (EAC) Commissioners were ousted. They certified voting systems and equipment, maintained national voter registration forms, and provided guidance on cybersecurity for election infrastructure.

Republicans aren't worried about election integrity.

They're worried about staying in power by dismantling the agencies/departments that could and would shed light on their election meddling and their election corruption.

The SAVE Act is nothing more than a major necessity for them to rig any and every election in their favor. It's not about election integrity, it's about election interference.

This is staggering.

Reuters and the Washington Post report Ecuador says an ICE agent tried to enter its Minneapolis consulate and was turned away by staff, prompting Ecuador to file a formal diplomatic protest.

Consulates are protected under international law. You do not “almost” breach a diplomatic facility. You either respect sovereignty or you invite retaliation, lawsuits, and a reputation hit the US does not need.

This also fits the pattern of the Minnesota surge: escalation first, protocols later, and then everyone acts surprised when the public and now foreign governments respond like this is dangerous.

There should be an immediate investigation, public accounting, and discipline up the chain. If leadership cannot run operations without violating basic diplomatic boundaries, leadership should go.

BREAKING: Republican Senator Rand Paul enrages MAGA world by calling for a full independent investigation into the murder of Alex Pretti under the oversight of a special commission.

This just threw a massive wrench in the coverup efforts...

"We can’t just say, 'Oh, nothing to see here,' and, 'He was obviously an assassin and a domestic terrorist.' When we say things like that, it leads to no confidence," stated Paul, referring to the blatant lies told by Stephen Miller and Kristi Noem about Pretti.

"I don’t think it’s honest to say he brandished a weapon. I don’t think it’s honest to say he assaulted officers," he continued. "I’m not saying he might not have been obnoxious. I’m not saying he might have said obnoxious things, but he films; he doesn’t even obstruct the traffic."

"He waves a car through in the middle of this as they approach him," Paul added. "He retreats as they approach him again, he retreats when a woman is shoved to the ground, he goes to help her up, and that’s when he is grabbed from behind."

Paul stated what we all know to be true, that at no point in the video can Pretti be seen to assault the agents. In reality he was swarmed, beaten to the ground, disarmed of the legal firearm that was in his possession, then executed by multiple gunshots. It was cold-blooded fascist street violence carried out by Trump's masked thugs.

The senator went on to say that Americans have a right to know "whether or not filming someone, as I see is going on right now, whether that could be considered to be assault."

"Whether retreating from ICE agents is considered to be assault, and whether or not filming and then retreating is an indication that you’re a potential assassin," he added.

An independent investigation is absolutely necessary, but it's the least of what we should be demanding. The agents involved in this killing need to be fired, prosecuted, and thrown in prison. Instead, the Trump administration is closing ranks around the killers. The two who fired the shots have been placed on "administrative leave" and their identities have been shielded. The public deserves to know who they are. We demand justice.

Let me say this as clearly as possible, because people keep getting it wrong.

Republican lawmakers didn’t stick with Trump because they were hypnotized...terrified...or somehow helpless.

They stuck with him because he’s one of them.

Trump didn’t corrupt a moral party. He exposed a corrupt one.

If Trump were merely embarrassing...reckless...or rude... they would have dumped him years ago. Politicians abandon liabilities fast. What they don’t abandon...are mutual liabilities.

Trump normalized behavior that many of them were already guilty of: ethical shortcuts...financial murkiness... abuse of power...contempt for oversight... lying as policy.

He didn’t invent the rot...he gave it cover.

And here’s the part people don’t like to hear:

For a lot of Republicans in Congress, Trump isn’t the risk.

Accountability is.

Trump absorbs attention like a sponge. While everyone is watching his circus...others operate quietly in the shadows. He’s not a distraction...he’s a shield. A very useful one.

Once they crossed certain lines together...election lies, January 6th...obstruction...weaponization of government ...there was no clean exit.

Loyalty became self-preservation. Defection meant subpoenas...investigations...and career death.

That’s why the so-called “good Republicans” vanished.

They weren’t persuaded. They were purged. Retired. Primaried. Marginalized. What you’re seeing now isn’t universal agreement...it’s selection pressure.

Only those comfortable with ethical decay remain.

This is how systems rot. Not with villains twirling mustaches...but with people who decide, one compromise at a time, that survival matters more than principle.

Trump didn’t take over the GOP.
The GOP recognized itself in Trump.

And that’s why expecting them to “come to their senses” is a fantasy.

You can’t ask people to enforce standards that would incriminate them.

The alliance holds...because it has to.

That’s not psychology.
That’s incentive structure.

And until people stop confusing fear...with complicity... they’ll keep being shocked by behavior that was always predictable.
