@pastordmack There are certainly some who fit the mold you describe, but I also think there are some who support 45 like the people of Israel supported Artaxerxes: not a believer by any evidence we have, pagan by evidence we do have, but a king who let them rebuild after years of degradation.

We should still call sin sin, and I will do so even from the President. However, I will not support a candidate who will undermine the church, weaken religious liberties, and promote the national immorality that is abortion.
I can support @realDonaldTrump like I can support Artaxerxes - a person in power we have no evidence to suggest feared God, but who allowed God’s people to rebuild after years of degradation. That does not weaken my witness; it secures my ability to witness.
@CTmagazine@realDonaldTrump That does not diminish my witness, it secures it.
That notwithstanding the one-sided narrative on which this article is based. That @HouseDemocrats are crying foul on @SenateGOP’s unfair trial after an unfair impeachment is laughable.
@CTmagazine I can support @realDonaldTrump like I can support Artaxerxes in Ezra & Nehemiah. No evidence that he was a follower of the one true God, but a person of infuence who allowed God’s people to rebuild after years of degradation. Supporting the alternatives now will hurt the church.
I can respect a man who takes an unpopular position on conviction & stands his ground on principle. Taking that position eight days before retirement & leaving others to suffer the consequences is like throwing a bomb into the building on your way out the door. Poor leadership.
