Daniel Peretz: "Yes, it is my dream to play in the Premier League and on the highest stages in the world, but a bigger dream for me is to be there with Southampton. I really believe that we can be there and achieve that.” 💬

Yeah but… players will all want to leave….
This is a massive, massive statement of intent! Great business from the club to get this over the line permanently ❤️❤️

Good to hear from Dragan directly. We’ve handled the whole thing poorly but have been dealt our punishment, now let’s shut out the noise and concentrate on a big summer and subsequent season ahead! 💪🏻

Well done @HullCity!
Only team to 100% deserve to be in the final, so fitting for them to go on and win it!
Hopefully we can sort our shit out & have another good go next year! #SaintsFC
@saintlavoo Agreed! Lack of ANYTHING from the club is actually shocking!
Should have been in the Wembley sun, instead we’ve had a couple of half arsed statements from the club!
@AndyT3ch I’ve seen this argument a lot and from a footballing term, don’t completely disagree.
Morally though, I think he has to go.
But also it would depend on just how angry the players are at him.
Something has to change internally, for the fans and players to get back on board
@MJHope1974 @stocksandsants You’ll be buying a season ticket with me next season Matt, loving your involvement on the Saints timeline these last couple of weeks 😅😉
@TINKERCURL I think as a fan you’d always hope that the people you blindly follow in charge of proceedings and making these decisions are the ones punished more than than the club/fans. But obviously never going to happen.
@Teessideracko@SouthamptonFC Presume you’ve got some inside knowledge on this, think the EFL write up is going to be really damning to a large proportion of the club.
Was blindly hoping due to the silence we had an ace up our sleeve and a big misunderstanding but turns out just incredibly guilty!
🚨 #SaintsFC showed the commission, in its entirety, the footage of Tonda Eckert’s session from the Wednesday before the first leg; in other words before Salt’s spying mission.
The Southampton players had the day off on the Thursday, and on the Friday before the first leg, they did not work on team shape in open play. It was purely a defensive set-piece session, the footage of which they also shared with the panel.
What Southampton and their legal team wanted to show – and which was borne out by the game – was that Eckert’s tactical approach did not change from the session on Wednesday. The club claim their defensive set pieces were not influenced by Salt’s visit to Middlesbrough’s training ground.
