Lots of our pupil will be making course choices soon. Information about our courses is being uploaded onto Google Classroom and will also be discussed in Google Meets. Just get in touch with your teacher if you have any questions! @SoSub_KinrossHS
As promised, here are just a few of the amazing things our pupils got up to over the mid-term break to get away from the screen and lots making good use of the snow! #KHSResilience
Had an excellent meeting with our Social Subject Ambassadors last night. Really looking forward to helping them put their ideas into action, and revealing their work to you in the next few weeks! #KHSAmbitious
All our S3 classes have been studying the poetry of WW1 as we mark Remembrance Day. Mrs Winter’s class have created their own propaganda posters and these lovely poppies. @Hist_KinrossHS@SoSub_KinrossHS#wewillrememberthem
Fantastic work S1, we have really enjoyed hearing all about your work in Art in our Remembrance lessons in History. We will remember them. #KHSCompassionate
Delighted to have created our display of S1 work in preparation for Armistice Day today. ❤️ Our S1 pupils have been reflecting on why poppies are symbolic and thinking about all those that we have lost. @KinrossHS@SoSub_KinrossHS#ArmisticeDay#KHSCompassionate
Members of the Cadets are able to wear their Cadet uniform to school tomorrow (11 November) as part of our activities to mark Remembrance Day this week.
Very proud of the team and our pupils this week who have worked hard to commemorate Remembrance 2020. Also huge thank you to Andy Middlemiss for his wonderful words and continued support. Remember to let us see your poppies displayed. #WeWillRememberThem
This is one of the many poppies our classes have coloured in this week. You can display them at home if you wish or we will happily display them in our department. Tweet us a picture of your poppy!
We have been so impressed with our S1-3 pupils who have been learning about remembrance. Many pupils in the department have also coloured in poppies to display at home. Even our pets are getting involved! Here is Watson from Mrs Dow's family proudly wearing his poppy.
Mrs MacRae was delighted this week to award our 'Triple Threat' pin to two of our students who have studied History, Modern Studies or Politics and RMPS! We love seeing our learners pop up in different places within the Faculty! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you to @AandD_KinrossHS who are working with S1s to create remembrance stones and autumn leaves. S1s will also be learning about WW1 and Remembrance in History.
As Remembrance day approaches, any S6 pupils who went on the Battlefields trip last year who are interested in
helping out with Remembrance this year should see Mrs MacRae or Mrs Dow in History by Tuesday 6 November.
Thank you for your hard work this term. S2/3 have been working on new topics, S4 have been developing their skills including the 9 mark question and Higher have been starting essay writing. We are really proud of all you've achieved. Take care and stay positive over the summer!
We have focused our weekly round-up this week on providing an overview of our topics as well as the key skills connected to each. I wonder what next week’s theme will be? 🤔🤩⭐️
