India power grid failure, 30.07.2012.

The 2012 India blackouts were two significant power outages that occurred on July 30 and 31, affecting most of northern and eastern India.
The first blackout on July 30 impacted over 400 million people and lasted approximately 13.5 hours, making it the largest power outage in history at that time, surpassing the January 2001 blackout in Northern India.
The subsequent blackout on July 31 affected more than 620 million people, which was about half of India's population at the time, across 22 states.
About 32 gigawatts of generating capacity was taken offline during these blackouts. Power was restored to the affected areas between July 31 and August 1, 2012.

The New Orleans Massacre, 30.07.1866.

The New Orleans Massacre of 1866, which took place on July 30th, involved a violent attack by a white mob, including many former Confederate soldiers, against a peaceful gathering of mostly Black Freedmen outside the Mechanics Institute. This site was hosting a reconvened Louisiana Constitutional Convention. The official report documented 38 deaths and 146 injuries, predominantly among Black Freedmen. Unofficial reports suggest higher casualties, with estimates ranging up to nearly 200 killed and over 150 wounded. Three white convention attendees and one white protester were also killed in the violence.

The events culminated in Robespierre's arrest on 9 Thermidor (27 July) and his execution on 10 Thermidor (28 July).

THE OLYMPICS BOMBING, 27.07.1996.

The Centennial Olympic Park bombing occurred on July 27, 1996, during the Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. The attack was a domestic terrorist pipe bombing by Eric Rudolph, who aimed to target the U.S. over its stance on global socialism and abortion. The blast killed one person, injured 111 others, and led to a subsequent heart attack death. Security guard Richard Jewell played a crucial role in mitigating the impact by discovering the bomb helping to clear the area before it detonated.
